What evidence in the play proves that Hamlet truly love Ophelia?

In order to answer this question I sugguest looking at the specific scences within the play that Ophelia and Hamlet interact with one another. Ophelia is a complex character but has always been one of my favourite Shakespeare characters. I would keep in mind how you define love, and what that means for the characters gender roles and how they interact with one another throughout the play. Keep that in mind while you re-read these scenes.

Hello,
I would first draw a mind map of the play. Focus on Hamlet's character, and then focus on Ophelia's character. List out everything you know about Hamlet, and then everything you know about Ophelia. Then look through the play for scenes where they interact together, and pay close attention to what they are saying to each other and about each other.
When your teacher asks you to show evidence, it means that you need to actually quote the lines from the play that might show why Hamlet and Ophelia's relationship is so special. Hope this helps!
