Hello! My name is Corey, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Hons.), concentrating in Accounting from Brock University and a Master's degree in Business Administration concentrating on Finance from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Right now I am currently working as the controller for a local company and I am actively pursuing my CPA designation. I have more than 7 years of tutoring experience in the subjects of high school math and university business courses. I enjoy assisting students and setting them up for success! The most rewarding aspect of tutoring for me is watching the progression of a struggling student become more confident with the subjects throughout the learning process. As their knowledge and understanding of the subject matter grows, tests and exams can be written with success and grades will improve. I assess a student's level of knowledge immediately and begin my focus on where the knowledge gaps are. I take a conversational approach, but use multiple examples and diagrams to illustrate the concepts that are being presented. I accommodate students of all learning styles and abilities, and take into consideration the goals and expectations of the students. I look forward to helping all students towards academic success, and I hope I will be able to help you as well!
