I am a recent graduate from the University of Alberta with a B Sc. in Agriculture. I am passionate about educating the younger generation in ways about food and nutrition in ways that are effective and meaningful to them. I am well versed in plant biology, soils, ecology and I have previously tutored students in basic reading and writing. I also led outdoor environmental education programs for students in elementary, junior and senior high school. I love the outdoors and going hiking, cross country skiing, and rock climbing. I also enjoy singing and playing the guitar, and I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have spent time in Africa and Japan, where I worked with children and taught English as a second language. I am committed to helping students gain confidence in their capacity to learn through a strengths-based approach and try to incorporate real life examples that resonate with students to help illustrate concepts. I have so much faith in the younger generation and would love to be a part of their success in any way I can.
