Hi! My name is Kaitlyn and I currently attend the University of Calgary. I just completed my second year in the concurrent Science & Education program. I am specializing in Biology-Chemistry and Secondary Education. I have previous experience tutoring both high school biology and chemistry, and excelled in both subject when I was a high school student. I am passionate about helping students develop critical thinking skills while also fostering a love for science. I have come up with excellent memory devices to help students not only memorize core concepts, but also help them to understand the content. This helps student use what they know to answer application-based questions which are very common to both Biology and Chemistry. I have experience working with all age groups and abilities. This includes working as a camp councillor, coaching multiple youth sports teams and prior tutoring and childcare opportunities. I also have experience working with children who have different learning disabilities, including Autism and ADHD. In my free time, I like to spend my time playing or coaching basketball, hiking or playing with my nephew !
