Hello. My name is Jeff, and I hold a Bachelor of Education degree and a General Studies Degree (majoring in Education Studies with an emphasis on Canadian and Aboriginal Studies) from the University of Calgary, As my resume indicates, I have practical experience teaching all grades from Kindergarten to Grade 12. For the most recent school year, I have been working as a Substitute Teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. I have demonstrated exceptional differentiated instruction ability, technology integration skills and have shown an aptitude for interpersonal communication and collaboration. I believe that I have a lot to offer students. I have a passion for learning new things and I want to share that passion with children and hope to elicit from them, or transfer to them, that passion. I believe that critical thinking, numeracy and literacy skills are essential. I hope to expose my students to all the opportunities available to them, motivate them to meet their potential, and to strive to do their best. I help students to become independent learners by encouraging them to take ownership for their learning, teaching them critical thinking/reasoning skills, and how to transfer their learning to other subject areas.
