I'm a certified teacher with a degree in English from Mount Royal University and a degree in Education from the University of Lethbridge. I'm also a published writer and I have a thorough knowledge of the ELA diploma standards. I have experience working with students with IPPs, students whose first language is not English, and a number of other challenges. It's important to me to celebrate all student successes--no matter what shape that success may come in. I believe in student-centred education meaning that lessons should be structured around student engagement and activities rather than lecturing. In my spare time, I love to write, play the ukulele, and watch superhero movies.
