I am a recent graduate (class of 2013) of the University of Alberta. I successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. I am currently an independent tutor but I worked for Twelve Oaks Academy for over a year during my university career.I enjoy learning and teaching math. It can be the most frustrating subject to tackle but also the most rewarding to finally understand. Most students become easily annoyed or confused and do not see a use for what they are currently learning. I try to relay to them that math isn’t just about algebra or polynomials, but that they are learning something much more valuable. Math teaches us the basic problem solving skills that will be necessary later on in life. It is these skills that I hope to instill in my students. Additional Note: I prefer to hold my sessions in a public coffee shop or library near you.
