Hello! I am an Alberta certified teacher recently graduated from the University of Alberta's Bachelor's of Elementary Education program (2018). I specialize in teaching subject areas in the K-6 range across subject areas. These include Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. I am fluent in English. I have also previously tutored Language Arts at the middle school level and am proficient in that. My teaching style incorporates many of the best practices and policies put out by the Alberta Teacher's Association. I also put an emphasis on phonics when working with younger children in Language Arts. While in high school I tutored Science and English. I also have previous experience working in coaching, summer camp counselling, and out of school care environments, so I have much experience working with children from a variety of backgrounds in a number of settings. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, playing sports (especially badminton, football, wrestling, and basketball), reading, playing the drums, and going for bike rides. I love teaching for the opportunity to help young people succeed in life, the chance to put problem-solving skills to work in a practical context, and promoting lifelong learning.
