I am a fresh undergraduate from the University of Alberta who majored in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. In my degree, I took 1st and 2nd year courses related to biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and calculus; however, with a kinesiology major I have a greater understanding in anatomy, physiology, and psychology and how it impacts in the health and fitness realm. When I was in high school I was part of the International Baccalaureate program, I excelled in Math 30-1, Math 31 (Calculus), and science related courses (Biology 20/30 and Chemistry 20/30). I myself am a visual learner, so my teaching style would reflect on that through pictures, diagrams, and videos. Studies show the best way to retain information is if you teach the information you learn, so I will try to incorporate that during my sessions. During my high school years, I volunteered at a summer camp where I got to look after and work with children ranging from 5-13 years of age. As an individual with a kinesiology background, I enjoy playing sports and exercising regularly, always seeking to learn a new sport and go outdoors. I have a particular interest in music and like to learn about music theory and production on the side.
