The question is asking for 5.0% of 60.0kg. First convert the percent to a decimal by dividing by 100. Then multiply the decimal by 60.0kg and you get your mass. So 5.0/100 = 0.050

0.050 × 60.0kg = 3.0kg (note: two significant digits)
