A reflex arc begins with a stimulus that will stimulate a sensory neuron > The sensory neuron transmits the signal to the dorsal area of the spinal cord where it stimulates the interneuron > the interneuron transmit the signal from the dorsal area of the spinal cord to the ventral area > the ventral internueron stimulates the motor neuron which terminates on a muscle cell > the muscle cell is stimulated to contract
