Since 1 hour = 60 mins; 1/4 hour = 1/4 x 60 = 15mins; 4/5 hours = 48mins
Harold took 3 & 1/4 hrs = 3x60 + 15 mins = 195 mins
Darcy took 2 & 4/5 hrs = 2x60 + 48 mins = 168 mins
Difference : 195-168 = 27mins,
Therefore Harold took 27 mins longer.
