What is the product of 2/3, 6/7 and 17/20. Is the answer 204/280

Answered By Darren P

That's not quite correct. When multiplying fractions, multiply the numerators, and then the denominators. 204 is correct, though the denominator should be 420. That makes the answer for the next step 204/420. However, you must simplify, and so the answer then becomes 51/105

2/3 x 6/7 x 17/20 =  2/1 x 2/7 x 17/20 = 1/1 x 2/7 x 17/10 = 1/1 x 1/7 x 17/5 = 17/35

The answer os 17/35

depend of the situation

if multiple=(2/3)*(6/7)*(17/20)=17/35

if addition, the LCM =420 which you have to multiple each fraction first

[(140*2/3)+(20*6/7)+(14*17/20)]=[(280/420)+(120/420)+(238/420)]=638/420=ans

try to make it small number as possible as you could, ans/5=127.6/84
