I am a biological science student attending the University of Calgary. Throughout my high school years, I helped a lot of my peers (in many different classes and ages) with help in their course. I have also spent about 4 years in the calgary public library volunteering in programs designed to help kids with differnt things. One of the programs was to help them with reading and homework. Another one was a friendly support for people in grades 5-7. In high school, I was in the Sports Medicine program, where I also gained a lot of experince working with people who were slightly older. I am really comfortable working with children and understand that every child has their own pace of learning and understanding. I am really passionate abouat the subjects math and scinces. These are my strongest subjects and I have gained a strong understaning of them. Right now, I am taking higher level math and science courses in universtiy. I love teaching because I seek to help students understand a concept, rather than simply memorize it. I love the "aha" moment, where a student gains full understading of a concept, and it is very rewarding. In my spare time, I do classical Indian dance and sculpture with different mediums. I can teach in English and Telugu.
