My name's Ryan and I love to explain math and science! I pride myself in making these subjects engaging and accessible. I believe that education is not about memorizing facts but instead learning how to learn. I started tutoring my peers while I was in high school, and continued through undergrad (BSc in Biochemistry from Queen's) and grad school (PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Alberta). Having tutored the past year, I am up-to-date on Alberta curricula for the natural sciences and mathematics. I especially enjoy helping students overcome test anxiety, and I enjoy getting through to students that find the material unappealing.

"Ryan is doing a great job of explaining Math to our son - he's breaks it down into more simplified elements and helps our son put it back together and then work towards more complicated elements. Ryan also ensures our son actually understands the material by testing our son and having him explain it and show Ryan how he found the answer to the equation.
